The Process
Step 1: Apply
Tell us about you and your family’s needs. We like to obtain as much information as possible to best match you with one of our qualified candidates. After submission, we will send you our Family Contract so we can begin the matching process.
Step 2: Candidate Review
We will send you information on viable candidates who meet your family’s needs. Candidates will undergo a rigorous interview process prior to your review and consideration.
Step 3: Interview
We partner with you to coordinate interviews with desired candidates. This can be in the home or virtual.
Step 4: Trial (up to 24 hours)
Structured trials occur over two 12 hour periods or one week. There is no agency fee for a trial period. However, you are responsible for paying the nanny directly for his/her time. If you plan to trial the candidate for more than the 24-hr period, a $200 non-refundable deposit to the Urban Nanny is due on the first day of the trial.
Step 5: Hire
Families are responsible for creating their own employer/employee agreements and payment plans. We can help provide a basic template for contracting. We can also help refer you to payroll specialists to help make this the household employer process more seamless.
